Pure Artesian Water
Water is the second most important ingredient in bread, making its quality essential to the final product. At Little Stream, we source our water from a deep artesian well located at our original bakery in Glen Tay, Lanark County, Ontario. Nestled in an unspoiled pastoral setting, the well taps into a confined aquifer within the Canadian Shield, providing a pristine and sustainable water source.
The natural minerals present in our water play a vital role in supporting a healthy sourdough culture. These minerals enhance the fermentation process, contributing to the rich flavor, texture, and nutritional benefits of our sourdough bread.
Our artesian water is regularly tested and consistently free from biological, agricultural, and industrial pollutants. This ensures the purity of every loaf we bake and upholds our commitment to quality and safety.
